Brushtail gutter guard works by simply filling the volume of the gutter. Other systems try to filter leaves out of the gutter using a mesh straining system. This can work initially but there is not a system available which will keep all matter from entering into the gutter, and when it does its nearly impossible to clean.

Brushtail simply displaces leaves so that water will always flow along the gutter. If dirt and other particles ever do reach the gutter, Brushtail is a chinch to remove, clean the area and replace.
